Well we're back home. We actually arrived home on Wednesday. While it was more chilly here than in Arizona, it wasn't too bad of a change as it wasn't hot there yet. We had days in the 70's and 80's - only one day above 90 I believe. But now we find the weather here at home quite chilly - snow on the ground on Good Friday morning and a chill in the air. But I'm sure that some day soon it'll warm up. But its always good to be home again.

Our activities have been many since returning home. Thursday evening was a Maundy Thursday meal and service at our church. Friday morning was the annual Good Friday breakfast for all residents here in the Villa main dining room - quite an event. Friday evening was the annual Tenebrae service at our church. Then tomorrow (Sunday) morning there's an Easter Walk around the arboretum, which we'll not take part in, and the annual Easter Brunch at church in place of the regular S.S. classes, followed by the morning Easter worship service. Wait I'm not done yet. We're actually going out to eat with some friends following church. I think I'm finished now.

I was quite tired last evening after church but otherwise my body has been cooperating with all the activity. The trip by plane to Arizona and back was not all that pleasant, and tiring - I had to go wheelchair and so my life was totally in control of someone else for that time. I guess its always that way when you get on public transportation, but this just takes it one step further. I guess I'm a control person, in a way, because I like to at least be in control of my own life. So I would really prefer traveling by car but we can't do that so well anymore, especially on long trips.

I'm back at my hobby today, making pens and pencils. I hope to have a web site up soon with Etsy.com, so when I'm ready to sell these products publicly I'll post the address for that. Until then I remain

Arizona

We're here - in Arizona. It still sort of amazes me how one can get into a plane and a couple of hours later you're 1200 miles from home. We're having a wonderful time with our family - and with Greely and Bogie, the dogs. Greely is a growing golden retriever with a lot of energy. He's very friendly, to the point of being a nuisance sometimes. Bogie is the opposite - a tiny long haired chihuahua, who likes to sit on one's lap and sleep. There are a couple of cats outside too but we seldom see them.

The weather here has been quite nice so far - mostly in the upper 70's or lower 80's and sunny. We went to a Cubs-Indians baseball game the other day and sitting in the sun it got to be quite hot. Only the good suntan lotion kept us from getting burned. I have attended many such games here in Arizona and have never gotten a stray baseball - until this time. We had decided to leave after the current inning and on the next to last pitch a foul ball came our way and Clara managed to get it. That capped off a really nice day.

We're looking forward to more good times here and hopefully we will get back home safely next week. I'll probably have more good things to write about then, so until then I remain
